Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

Q1. What exactly am I licensing to MaxGood.work?
A: You are licensing selected works you choose, called Titles, which are then processed into small excerpts called Content Chunks. You remain the owner of all your original work with only one exception, the “Perpetual” license (see below). Titles might be a book, a whole blog, a training course, a collection of YouTube videos you’ve created, or something that you’ve developed but not yet published.

Q2. Will users see my full books, courses, or materials?

A: No. Users never see full Titles.
They only see short, algorithmically-selected Chunks that the Avatar retrieves to support an answer. Chunks are generally a maximum of 1000 words long, but are often shorter. We create the Chunks from your Titles as part of Author onboarding. Sometimes Chunks are complete things in themselves, like a short blog article or an informative email you’ve sent to your email list. However, sometimes we take your Title and break it into Chunks that might not be how you would think to do so. This is to ensure that the system is giving our end users (coachees) the best possible, most reliable experience and expertise. Our system for breaking Titles into Chunks is called “IDRAG” and is extremely sophisticated. It is a proprietary algorithm designed to make MaxGood.work the best possible AI-Assisted coaching platform while simultaneously respecting your rights as Expert Authors!

Q3. Do I still own my work after signing this?
A: Yes. You retain ownership of all your underlying content. Max Good only receives a license to process and use the Chunks inside their platform. In the case of “Perpetual” Titles, we are your exclusive publisher but you still own the information… but the specific right to copy exactly what you have created is passed to us. This means that you can still be the expert, still create new, different material based on that expertise, but the Perpetual content is effectively permanently transferred to us (similar to how many other publishers work).

Q4. How is my content categorized?
A: Your Titles fall into one of four categories as seen below:

Category

Meaning

Weight Value

Public Content

Already free and publicly accessible online

1

Semi-Public Content

Known publicly but full content not free

2

Exclusive Content

Not accessible anywhere except what you license

4

Perpetual Exclusive Content

Exclusive and remains l

8

Kindly note that the weight score affects your revenue share.

Q5. What is “Weighted Usage” and why does it matter?
A: Each time an Avatar uses one of your Chunks in creating a response to a coachee, it counts as a Usage Event. Your category’s Value Weight multiplies the usage. More exclusive content = higher weight = bigger share of the revenue pool.

Q6. How is my revenue share calculated?
A: Every quarter you receive: Your Share = (Your Weighted Usage ÷ Total Weighted Usage) × 5% of Eligible Revenue. “Eligible Revenue” means revenue from Avatar subscriptions after taxes, payment fees, and app-store fees. In plain English, this means that your share or portion of the Eligible Revenue is determined by comparing how much your Chunks have been used compared to all the Chunks from every Expert Author on the whole system.

Q7. When do I get paid?
A: When your cumulative earnings reach at least CAD $250 in a quarter. Anything below that rolls forward to the next quarter. Our quarters start September 1 so we calculate your earnings in December, March, June, and September. We will let you know what your earnings are each quarter and if they are over the threshold, we will also make arrangements to send you payment, if you have not already made these arrangements.

Q8. Do I have to promote the partnership?
A: Yes. Within 30 days, you must publish a public, indexable page—on your website or social profile—stating the relationship and linking to MaxGood.work. Of course, we can be flexible if there is some obstacle. However, this presence online supports both you as an expert and our ability to attract paying clients… which also helps you earn more revenue!

Q9. Can MaxGood.work change the Value Weights?
A: Yes, with 30 days’ notice. But Perpetual Exclusive Content must always have at least double the next-highest weight, protecting its premium status.

Q10. What happens if I terminate the agreement?

A:
 All Public, Semi-Public, and Exclusive Content is removed within ~60 days.
 Perpetual Exclusive Content stays licensed forever.
 Max Good must still pay any outstanding revenue owed.

Q11. Who can access my content internally?
A: Only authorized MaxGood.work personnel, and only as needed for ingestion, QA, support, legal, or security purposes—under confidentiality obligations. In other words, your content is protected!

Q12. Do I get direct access to the platform or Avatars?
A: Not automatically. You are only a content licensor unless you separately buy or subscribe to an Avatar. In our latest Expert Author contract, we have made an update which allows you to opt-in to have us build and manage an Essential Avatar for you.

Q13. Can I have my own “Author Avatar”?
A: Yes. We can build it and manage it for you at no cost, if both parties agree in writing (email is fine). There are some important terms and conditions to this arrangement, but the core idea is that the Titles you have licensed to use on MaxGood.work are the only Titles used to train this Author Avatar so that it is promoting your financial benefit.

Q14. What happens if my content becomes public later?
A: Your category is automatically downgraded to match its new availability. This type of change only moves toward more public, never toward more exclusive. The Titles that are in the “Semi-Public” and “Exclusive” categories could become more public through no fault of your own, but nevertheless, the category will be downgraded.

Q15. What if I believe there’s a mistake in revenue calculations?
A: Once per year, you may have a CPA review the calculations. If Max Good underpaid you by more than 5%, they will correct it and reimburse reasonable audit fees.

Q16. How are disputes handled?
A: Disputes go to arbitration in Toronto, under ADRIC rules.

Q 17. What kind of statements can each party make publicly?
A: Both parties may announce and co-market the relationship at will (subject to the minimums listed in the licensing agreement). Neither party may make knowingly false or harmful statements, but we do not restrict your speech regarding AI use in general, nor valid public criticism of the MaxGood.work platform.
